A Layout To Share
I miss posting my Weekend In Photos. But these days, we are unpacking and doing laundry every weekend. And while our unpacking is amazing and exciting, I don't think you want to see a play-by-play of it. Trust me on that. Hopefully, we'll be done with this mess soon. And get back to doing fun things.
Moving onto to scrappy stuff...
The July/August issue of Creating Keepsakes is out, and I have this layout in it:

Anyway. Layout. My assignment was to use these cool Maya Road transparencies. I actually broke out some paints to use on this. PAINTS! ME! Amazing! I know!
If you decide to do the same, here are a few tips. Paint with acrylic paint. Let it dry. Or if you are impatient like me, use a heat gun to dry it. Do keep a safe distance, or the transparency might melt. Not that I know from experience... Then punch. Initially I thought it would be better to punch first. But nope. Use a squeeze or thumb punch. Die cutting doesn't work really well.
That is my story for today, and I'm sticking to it.
Oh wait. One more thing: Craft Beach Retreat is now open for registration. There are only 24 spots, so crack-a-lack.
