Jenni Bowlin Kit Guest

I'm sure you know who Jenni Bowlin is. And I'm pretty sure you know that she has a most amazing monthly kit. Well, they kindly asked me to guest design for them this month, and of course I said yes!

One of my favorite things in the kit was the Jenni Bowlin stamps. I know, I know, you aren't surprised, since I'm such a big stamp collector user. I paired it with my favorite photo taken during my holiday to Palm Spring, and the polka dot paper that came in my box. And as it turns out, Jenni's dot alpha was the perfect size to pair with the stamp.

In this layout, I used the stencil to sponge on the title. Then I stitched around each letter with some thread. The grid is also a Jenni stamp.

This last layout, the photo was the main attraction. We were driving from Palm Springs through Yucca Valley, on the way to Joshua Tree National Park. This ginormous arrow was in front of a boarded up store. I made my husband screech to a halt and turn around so I could photograph the sucker. Of course, what I really wanted to do was to throw that baby on top of my vehicle. The letter stickers are Jenni, and the little arrows are actually border stickers (Basic Grey, Crate Paper), folded in half and trimmed.

Last, but not least, I used the enclosed mini-envelopes to make this teeny valentine for my honey. Later this year, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary, and I thought this would be cute filled with photos of us from years past (like, when we were young, wrinkle-free, thinner, and without greying hair). It's super easy. I glued the envelopes back to back, that teeny envelope on top with the insert is a sticker, and I stitched on the insert. A bit of ribbon, word stickers, a flower, and it's done!

Thanks for dropping by today! I'm doing a giveaway tomorrow, so please join me then. Have a great day!
