Day Three

Happy New Year! I've had the most relaxing break. (Not counting the flu I have right now.) We baked, ate a lot, napped, watched TV, played board games, put together Lego sets, did laundry, played Wii. And we did it all together, which is what I love about the holiday season.

I know I'm a bit behind on this, but after seeing Lisa's list of her Top Ten layouts, I thought I'd chose my own Top Ten. Here they are, in no particular order.

I'm hoping to scrap more pages this year. That is, after we sell the house. I've noticed that when I break out the scrapping goodies, someone always calls to make an appointment and I have to clean frantically. So, really, I should bring that stuff out more often.

My dear friend Barb roped me into taking Ali Edwards' One Little Word class. I'm glad she did. My word is nourish. Initially it was discipline, but Barb thought it was a bit, uh, harsh. Hee. Nourish is good. I need to nourish my body (by eating better, exercising regularly), my mind (with more books, and less TV), my soul (meditation, art), and my family and friends (by paying more attention to them.) Lots to do. But I'm not going to stress myself out. I'm just going to go with the flow. I'm planning to keep a little journal about this, and I'm doing it a little differently than Ali's. It's not finalized yet, but I'll share when I figure it all out.

I have a feeling this is going to be a great year!

Hee. I love your word. Your first choice... I think a lot of us could have chosen that word, but then with its, um, negative connotations, we would have slipped by, oh, week 2 and then given up. You and me both, baby! :P

And I love the top 10 you chose. I thought about doing a top 10 post again this year, but I scrolled through my LOs from 2010 and didn't feel the love for many of them. Oh well. I think my new approach to scrapping for 2011 (fewer pages, no deadlines) will generate pages I love.

Happy New Year!

That Barb, always so smart. :) I love your nourish connotations (except maybe the less tv part-hee!) You'll have to keep us posted on your class progress!

Get scrapping! (meaning, good luck with lots of showings to equal = buying!)

Love your top 10 pages! They are all so inspiring. I have yet to actually choose my word for 2011. Maybe it should be 'decisive' since I can't seem to decide on one, LOL!
